Hier ist ein analoges Teil, das ich bereits vor Monaten geinkt aber noch nicht eingefärbt hatte. Ich hatte zunächst überlegt, nur ein paar weiße Highlights zu setzen. Letztendlich ist’s aber doch wieder farbig geworden.
Here’s a new analog piece that I had already inked months ago but not yet colored. For a while I was considering adding only some white highlights but in the end I went with full colors.
Ein weiteres nicht-digitales Bildchen fertig: ein (vermutlich untoter?) Vogelkrieger… oder so. Farblich wollte ich es ursprünglich total simpel halten: Schädel weiß, der Rest flächig und ohne Abstufung braun/grau. Am Ende ist es doch wieder etwas aufwändiger geworden.. nur ein bisschen :)
Another non-digital drawing finished: a (presumed undead?) bird warrior… or something along those lines. In terms of colors, my original plan was to keep it super simple: white skull, the rest plain brown/gray without any gradation. Came out a little more elaborate.. just a little :)
Hier ist ein neues Vektorbild. Das letzte Mädel mit Schwert liegt schon einige Zeit zurück, also dachte ich mir, es wird mal wieder Zeit. Dabei hatte ich genaugenommen zunächst etwas andere Pläne: ein Mädel mit einfacher, lässiger Freizeitkleidung (T-Shirt, Haremhose, oder so), in lässiger Pose und gezeichnet in einem simplen, flächigen Stil. Kein Schwert oder sonstiger Firlefanz. Irgendwann dachte ich mir dann aber, man könnte das Ganze ja vielleicht doch noch mit einer Klinge aufwerten :D Dabei blieb es dann aber ganz offensichtlich nicht und zur Klinge gesellten sich noch das geänderte Outfit, schicke Bänder und ein minimalistischer Hintergrund. Die ursprüngliche Idee hatte ich dann aber doch noch fertiggestellt.
Here’s a new vector image. It’s been a while since the last girl with a sword, and so I thought this might be a good time for another one. Although, admittedly, my original plan was somewhat different: a girl in simple, comfy casual clothes (t-shirt, harem pants or something along those lines), easygoing posture and drawn in a simple, flat style. No sword, no other gimmickry. At some point, though, I felt that I might still improve the whole thing by adding a blade :D But of course, as the finished piece proves, this wouldn’t be the only addition I’d make and so the blade is accompanied by a changed outfit, fancy floating ribbons and a minimalist background. However, I decided to still finish the original idea as well.
Hier ist seit Monaten endlich mal wieder ein Vektorbild und natürlich hab ich eines meiner absoluten Klassikerthemen bemüht: Mädels mit Schwert.. und weil’s immer so viel Spaß macht, gibt’s wieder verschiedene Varianten. Inkscape ist zum Ende hin ganz schön ins Schwitzen gekommen ^^;
Finally, here’s a new vector piece and of course I had to fall back onto one of my absolute classic themes: girls with swords.. and since it’s always so much fun to do, there are a bunch of variants, too. Towards the end Inkscape was choking a bit ^^;
Ich hab ein paar Wochen Auszeit vom Zeichnen genommen. Keine Ideen, keine Motivation irgendwas zu machen – demnächst geht es aber hoffentlich wieder los. In der Zwischenzeit hab ich allerdings seit längerem mal wieder mit Voxel rumgebastelt. Die kommenden Tage werde ich dann immer mal was kleines posten. Den Anfang macht der Kollege hier. Ein Skelettkrieger mit dickem Schwert – ziemlich klein und wenig detailliert und -wie auch alles andere was hier demnächst kommt- hauptsächlich auf Marching Cubes Anzeige ausgerichtet. I’ve taken a few weeks break from drawing. No ideas, no motivation to do anything really – but hopefully I’ll soon be back in full swing. Meanwhile though I’ve been tinkering with voxels again. It’s been a while. I plan to post a bunch of things I’ve made within the next couple of days. First thing is this little fella. A skeleton warrior with a big sword – rather small and low detail and -like everything else I’ve been working on lately- made mainly to be viewed in marching cubes mode. Ich hatte gehofft, in den Ferien etwas produktiver zu sein. Am Ende hat es leider doch gerade mal für ein einziges Bildchen gereicht. Naja…
I had hoped that I’d be a little more productive during the Easter holidays. Alas, one little pic is all I managed to do during those two weeks. Ah well….
Und schon ist er vorbei, der erste Monat des neuen Jahres. Was soll ich sagen – der Januar war für mich in zeichnerischer Hinsicht so unproduktiv wie kaum ein Monat in den vergangenen ??? Jahren. Das muss definitiv besser werden.
Naja.. Hier ist zunächst mal ein Vektorbild an dem ich die letzten Tage gebastelt habe. Altbekanntes Thema, altbekannter Stil, basierend auf zwei mehr oder weniger alten Skizzen, die ich zu einer zusammengefrankensteint habe. Und jaja, das Outfit ist… gewagt :D
And already it’s over, the first month of the new year. And what can I say – with regards to art stuff, this January has been as unproductive as hardly any other month those past ??? years. I really have to crank it up – and more than one notch.
Anyway.. here’s a vector piece I’ve been working on those past couple of days. Familiar theme, familiar style, based on two more or less old sketches which I frankenstein’ed together into one thing. And yes yes yes, I know that outfit is… questionable :D
Ein paar Random Nahkampfwaffen, im hippen Used-Look :D Nichts wahnsinnig aufregendes oder innovatives, wollte einfach nur mal wieder was Schnelles in der Richtung machen. Buntstift + Inkpen auf getöntem Papier.
Wir befinden uns ja schon wieder auf der Zielgeraden des Jahres. Hoffentlich schaffe ich es aber, noch mindestens ein weiteres Bild vor 2022 fertigzustellen. Daumen drücken :)
A bunch of random melee weapons in fancy used-look :D Nothing overly exciting or innovative; I just wanted to do something of that sort rather quick and simple. Colored pencil + ink pen on toned paper.
We’re now on the final stretch of the year. Hopefully I’ll manage to get at least one more image done before 2022. Fingers crossed :)
So, nach einer kleinen Auszeit geht’s weiter. Skizze hatte ich vor ein paar Monaten gezeichnet aber glaube ich nur auf Instagram gepostet. Mit Vektor hatte ich dann letzte Woche begonnen. Dachte mir die Kleine wäre auch eine schöne Ergänzung zu meinem Shop. Link siehe unten :)
Finally, after a little downtime I’m back again. I drew the sketch a couple of months ago though iirc only posted it on Instagram. Then eventually began working on the vectors last week. I thought she’d make a nice addition to my store, too. See the link below :)
Vor ein paar Monaten hatte ich mal ein Bild eines Schweinetypen gepostet, mit dem abschließenden Hinweis, dass ich noch eine zweite Skizze auf Lager habe und diese evtl. „in Kürze“ in Angriff nehmen würde. Die Kürze hat sich dann etwas länger hingezogen. Jetzt hab ich das Teil aber fertig. Zunächst hatte ich noch befürchtet, dass Nummer 2 zu sehr dem ersten ähnelt. Mit dem Hintergrund und allem drum und dran ist es aber glaube ich doch recht eigenständig und anders genug, um nicht einfach als schnelle Kopie abgestempelt zu werden.
Fun Fact: das hier ist das erste Bild das ich mit der neuesten Inkscape-Version gebastelt habe. Ich bin nach wie vor etwas unglücklich darüber, dass ich Farbpaletteneinträge nicht mehr so editieren kann, wie ich das seit Jahren gehandhabt hatte. Das neue System zum Andocken von unterschiedlichen Einstellungsfenstern ist dagegen sehr cool. Während der Arbeit an diesem Bild hatte ich einen einzigen Absturz – und das war auch nur beim Beenden des Programms. Keine große Sache also.
A couple of months ago I posted an image of some pig dude, with the final note that I might „be doing another one of these soon„. Turns out it didn’t happen that soon but now it’s actually finished. At first I was a bit afraid that number 2 would be too similar to the first one. What with the background and everything, though, I think it’s enough of its own thing as to not be labeled a mere copy.
Fun fact: this was the first time I’ve been using the latest Inkscape version. Still not happy that it’s no longer possible to edit color/gradient swatches the way I used to for many years. Still a bit grumpy about this. The new docking system is really nice. While working on this pic I’ve only had one crash – and that was only when I was shutting the program down anyway. So, no big deal.
