Balcony Girl 2

Und wieder eins fertig, das schon seit Monaten unvollendet in der Warteschlange stand. Erstellungsdaten früher Dateiversionen behaupten, ich hätte damit vor über einem Jahr angefangen. Ich sollte echt aufhören, mehrere Bilder parallel anzufangen. Na egal… Hier zunächst ein zusammen editierter Screenshot mit Outline-Ansicht und der verwendeten Farbpalette. Manch einem mag auffallen, dass ich einige Farben in ziemlich vielen Bildern verwende.

And another one done that’s been on the stack of unfinished pieces for months. File dates on earlier revisions claim I began working on this a over a year ago. I really should stop beginning to work on multiple pictures at a time. For starters, here’s a pieced-together wip screenshot with outline view and the color palette I used. Somebody might notice that there are colors I keep reusing in a lot of pieces.

Das fertige Bild. Der Hintergrund wurde aus Performance-Gründen extern weichgezeichnet. Abgesehen vom Hintergrund und dem obligatorischen Multiply kamen keine Filter zum Einsatz. Alles andere ist wie gewohnt über die in der Farbpalette zu sehenden Gradients gelöst. Ich mag die Auto-Palette und wiederverwendbare Verläufe :)

The finished pic. For performance reasons the background was was blurred externally. Besides that and the obligatory multiply, no filters were used. Everything else was done via the gradients in the color palette, as usual. I really like the auto palette and recyclable gradients :)

Hier noch eine Variante ohne (den Großteil der) Kleidung. Ich hab versucht, die Haut etwas weniger glänzend aussehen zu lassen.

Here’s a variant without (most of the ) clothes. I tried to make the skin a little less shiny than usual.

Mein Sortiment auf RedBubble wird in letzter Zeit recht selten ergänzt. Das muss sich ändern! Bei der Gelegenheit hab ich auch das quasi Vorgänger-Bild hinzugefügt.

Ich ende heute mit einem kleinen Teaser. Seit langem mal wieder eine kollaborative Arbeit. Ein Teil ist fertig, der zweite (hoffentlich) in Arbeit und (hoffentlich) bald fertig :)

I’ll end this post with a little teaser. It’s a collaborative work, the first in quite a while. One part is done, the other (hopefully) being worked on and (hopefully) finished soon :)

A cute smile and a fierce panda

Heute gibts mal wieder bunte Vektorkost. Damit begonnen hatte ich bereits im Dezember. Leider ging es aber zunächst nicht so recht voran und das Teil wurde vorübergehend auf Eis gelegt. Letzte Woche hatte ich es dann wieder hervorgeholt, große Teile überarbeitet sowie ergänzt und jetzt ist es vollendet. Habe ich schon mal erwähnt, dass ich meine Mädels gern vor leicht abstrakte Hintergründe platziere? :D

Today I’ve got another candy-colored vector snack. I already began working on it back in December. Unfortunately progress was slow and difficult and I decided to put it on hold for some time. Last week I picked it up again, changed large portions of what was already there, added what was still missing and now it’s finally done. Have I ever mentioned that I like placing my girls in front of slightly abstract backgrounds? :D

Ist schon wieder einige Zeit her, dass ich dem Shop etwas hinzugefügt habe. Heute gibts also auch an dieser Front Nachschub. So ziemlich das gesamte RedBubble Produktsortiment wird abgedeckt; Shirts, Hosen, Drucke, Skins für mobile Geräte usw. Einfach mal reinschauen!

Während ich am Basteln war, kam mir außerdem der Gedanke, dass der kleine schwarzweiße Knirps auf ihrem Pulli wohl auch gerne sein eigenes Shirt haben wollen könnte. Und damit nicht der Zorn des kleinen Ninja auf mich darnieder fahren möge, habe ich ihm diesen Wunsch erfüllt. Bitteschön!

While I was working on it, I thought that the little black & white fella on her top might want to get his own shirt. And since I didn’t want the little ninja’s righteous wrath to come down upon me, I fulfilled his wish. There you go!

Das wars für heute. Jetzt gehts nach draußen, den Sonnenschein nutzen und eine Runde ums Dorf drehen. Und danach ab an den Schreibtisch, die Ink-Pens strapazieren :)

That’s it for today. Now, I’ll go on a short round around the village; gotta make use of the nice weather as long as it lasts. And afterwards, back to the desk and putting those ink pens to good use :)

Pretty Bum 2

Und weiter gehts. Vor einigen Tagen hatte ich es kurz angeteasert. Viele viele Farbverläufe und einige Schwierigkeiten beim finalen png-Export später ist es gestern Abend dann fertig geworden. Ursache besagter Probleme war, mal wieder, mein lustiger Einsatz von geklonten Ebenen(-gruppen) in Verbindung mit darauf angewendeten Weichzeichner und Masken. Der Weichzeichner kam übrigens beim Hintergrund zum Einsatz, nicht jedoch bei dem Mädel. Ihre weichen Formen und Farben sind das Ergebnis von reinem Gradient-Einsatz. Ein Apartment mit hübschem Ausblick d^__^b

And on we go. A couple of days ago I put up a little teaser. Many many gradients and some problems with the final png-export later I finished it yesterday in the evening. The source of said problems was, once more, my funny way of cloning entire (groups of) layers, in combination with applied blur filters and masks. Btw. the blur filter was only applied on the background, not on the girl though. Her soft shapes and colors were made with gradients only. An apartment with a nice view, eh d^__^b

Und hier nochmal ihr „Werdegang“ in den wichtigsten drei Zwischenstufen. Ja, das Gesicht in der Skizze war noch ziemlich off… Derpface :D

And here’s her way from sketch to final in three major steps. I know I know, the face in the original sketch was pretty whack… derp-face :D

Sketches

Hier ein paar neue Skizzen. Erstere basiert auf einer uuunglaublich alten, unvollständigen Posenskizze über die ich kürzlich mal wieder gestolpert war. Dachte mir, vielleicht kann ich daraus noch was brauchbares machen. Und da das ganze eben auf Antikem beruht, fand ich es nur passend, dass sich das fertige Teil auch inhaltlich an meine „gute alte Zeit“ anlehnt, sprich posendes Nackedei mit großen Handschuhen :D

I’m currently doing some offline drawing to give my arm a rest from heavy mouse-usage. Here’s a bunch of new sketches. The first one is based on a really really old and incomplete pose scribble which I stumbled upon recently. Thought I might be able to turn it into something nice. And since it’s based on something antique I reckoned it’d fit perfectly to go with a subject that resembles my „good old times“, i.e. some girl posing in nothing but big gloves :D

Nummer 2 ist ein junger Typ auf einem Hügel. Da es gerade scheinbar keine Gelegenheit gibt, die große Klinge an Fieslingen oder Monstern zu wetzen, ist er etwas gelangweilt.

Number 2 is a young guy sitting on a hill. Since right now there seems to be very little opportunity to sharpen that blade on bad guys‘ or monsters‘ skulls, he’s a little bored.

Und hier noch was kleines, das einmal Kim Possible werden sollte. Hab mir einige Freiheiten genommen so dass sie jetzt doch ziemlich anders ausschaut. Naja, mal schauen wie’s mit einigermaßen authentischen Farben wirkt. Und wenn nicht, naja, bleibt immer noch ein hübsches Mädel xD

And here’s a little something that was supposed to be Kim Possible. I took some liberties with the details so she turned out looking rather different. Anyway, I’ll see if using authentic colors helps. And if not, well, at least it’s a cute girl xD

Sketches

Zwei Skizzen neueren Datums. Zum einen dieses hübsche Wesen…

Two recent sketches. First one is this pretty young lady…

… und zum anderen ein Selbstbildnis, in Outdoor-Wasteland-Look und ausgestattet mit einer großen Klinge. Warum? Gibt keinen besonderen Grund :D

… second is a depiction of myself, in some kind of outdoor wasteland getup and armed with a big blade. Why? Well, there’s really no particular reason :D

Der leicht zerknüllt wirkende Papier-Hintergrund wurde nachträglich hinzugefügt. Die eigentlichen Skizzen befinden sich sicher auf langweilig weißem Papier. Beide Bilder sind für Buntstifteinfärbung vorgesehen… irgendwann einmal…

The somewhat rippled paper texture was added later on. The actual sketches are safe and sound on regular, boring white  paper. Both pieces are due for pencil coloring… at some point…

Pretty bum

Ist mir gerade viel zu spät, um hier noch großartig was zu sagen. Offensichtlich ist das ein Mädel.. ausnahmsweise blond.. und nicht ausnahmsweise in knappem Zwirn. Dafür, dass die Skizze alt und grottig war, ist das Endergebnis glaube ich doch eine ziemlich runde Sache geworden ;D Das wars auch schon für heute. Ab ins Bett…

Right now it’s way too late and I’m too tired to say much. Obviously this is a girl.. rather unusual for me is that she’s blonde.. not really unusual though is that she’s scantily clad.  Considering how old and crappy the sketch was, I think this turned out rather nice. That’s all for today. Off to bed…

Sporty girls and featured vectors

Nach dem bildertechnisch wirklich mauen Jahresauftakt bin ich der Meinung: ab sofort muss hier endlich wieder mehr passieren. Fürs erste gibts dieses kleine Teilchen in bewährter Buntstiftoptik. Das nächste ist momentan in Arbeit und noch ein weiteres liegt ebenfalls halb fertig herum und wird hoffentlich im Laufe der kommenden Woche fertig :)

Considering the very weak start of the year (in terms of finished pics) I think it’s about time to breathe some action and life back into this blog. For now, here’s a little piece done with good old colored pencils. The next one is currently work-in-progress and yet another one is lying about half-finished. Hopefully I’ll get this done within the coming week :)

Und hier noch zwei der kürzlich entstandenen Skizzen, meine Wenigkeit in ungewohnt siegessicherer Pose und ein hübscher Knochenkopp. Die restlichen gibt es erstmal nicht zu sehen. Ein paar Überraschungen muss ich mir ja noch für die Zukunft bewahren :D

Pretty Glasses

Hatte ich schon vor einigen Tagen fertiggestellt. Endlich wieder mal ein größeres Buntstiftbild :)

Already finished this one a couple of days ago. Finally some new pencil material :)

Einige Ergänzungen im Pixel-Bereich gibts auch zu vermelden. Ist alles altes Material, größtenteils für das eine oder andere Spielprojekt entstanden. Neues Material folgt demnächst.. hoffentlich… Stellvertretend für alle weiteren Zugänge an dieser Stelle das folgende bewegte Bildchen.

I also added some more stuff to the pixel section. This is all old material, mostly made for one or another game project. New stuff will follow… And here’s one of the additions.
